Since 2006, I’ve been putting Bible games online because challenges and games help us learn the Bible effectively.
To organize the games better, Bible Challenger was born in 2020. It has grown into 22 games and quizzes covering more than 1,200 questions. It covers the accounts nearly everyone knows to the details most people miss.
In these quizzes, each question is tied to a specific passage. Nearly all answers reference the NKJV unless noted otherwise. You can always check it in your own Bible.
I’ve received helpful feedback since the 2000s. When I get something wrong, I correct it. The email link below reaches me, and I read each message that I receive.
What are the quiz standards?
The Bible is the final authority. On questions where popular tradition and the plain text point in different directions, I follow the text. For some controversial areas, I’ll simply quote the biblical text instead of giving an interpretive answer. You don’t have to share that approach to enjoy the games, but I’d rather be upfront about the lens than pretend I don’t have a priority. That priority is to biblical truth.
The site is free and always has been. There’s no account to create, no advertisements, and nothing to buy. Although, if you were to buy something, I’d recommend buying a Bible.
Freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8)

The purpose is to be fun and edifying
When you get questions wrong, don’t feel guilty. Be happy for the learning opportunity. Take the opportunity to open your Bible and study the verses around it. If you study the context, you’re more likely to memorize and gain an understanding of that question or answer.
You’ll also see Scriptures that you don’t read often, but we know all Scripture is important. So this is a good learning opportunity.
Here’s why knowing and acting on Scripture is spiritually important:
…the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:15-17
It also leads to physical success:
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Joshua 1:8
These are a few of the benefits you can find from better understanding your Bible.
Why challenging biblical learning can help you
Here’s why challenging yourself is effective to learn the Bible better.
According to the American Institute of Stress, when you have eustress, a positive stress that can be associated with winning or graduation, mental performance improves.

Eustress: positive feelings from stress, such as accomplishments
Distress: negative feelings from stress, such as injury
Because you’ll likely get most questions right, you should have a positive feeling and experience better memorization.
Also, Paul was quite direct in our responsibilities in regards to our faith. We are required to “examine” and “test” ourselves (2 Corinthians 13:5).
